I am passionate about the fact that music can create mutually empowering conditions within which people have the opportunity to flourish. If there is no decent foundation for engaging in music together, then everything begins to get unbalanced. The situation in Australia is far from equitable, with a significant discrepancy between the possibilities for music that are available to those in publicly funded and user-pays schools. It sucks.
